La Secrète is at once highly poetic and very functional, offering the possibility of storing, concealing even, one’s objects in various recesses. Small in size, this piece is nonetheless possessed of a strong presence thanks to its remarkable design and allure. The structure and interior fittings are made from walnut-veneered MDF; the base is in solid walnut. Brilliant-chromed crosspieces and balance rail. There is a strut-mounted flap lid and a shutter on the top, which may be used as a writing surface while closed, plus a sliding document tray to the right and a space for bits and pieces to the left. Designed to accommodate a laptop up to 17.3” in size, the cable for which can be concealed in a box with an up-and-over door located to the left-hand rear of the closed section.
